Donna
Coleman-Frazier, Chief Deputy
The Chief Deputy of the Calumet Township
Trustee's Office is Donna Coleman-Frazier.
One of her primary
responsibilities is oversight of the Personnel & Human
Resources Department.
The
Chief Deputy answers directly to the Trustee and is
responsible for handling a variety of complex and confidential
tasks and administrative details related to personnel administration,
finance, public reaction, and the overall operations.
The Chief Deputy assist the Trustee in the matters of administration
and the supervision of officers and employees of the Trustee's
Office in the conduct of its' daily operations and functions,
which are under the jurisdiction of the Trustee, as prescribed
by all applicable governing laws, statutes, and ordinances.
Performance of duties requires extensive knowledge
of Township Assistance laws, legal constraints, agency activities,
operations and services. The Chief Deputy is also
responsible for planning, managing and evaluating all divisions
of the the trustee's office. All of the township deputies
report directly to the Chief Deputy for the coordination
of duties and activities.
The
Chief Deputy acts as a clearinghouse for complaints, requests
and other matters coming to the attention of the trustee's
office from the citizenry/employees. She attempts
to solve the problem or situation before consulting with
the Trustee.
The
Chief Deputy replaces the Trustee when the Trustee is out
of the township and becomes acting trustee for civil and
township assistance if a vacancy should occur between terms.
